Shabbaton in Tekoa

 

Once again Meorot Chabad has been invited to Tekoa for a Shabbaton arranged by our Chavrusah, Rabbi David Abramson! We were all warmly invited by the Chabad community as we began a lively Kabbalos Shabbos followed by the Seudas Shabbos at many of the local families.
After Shachris the following day, we farbrenged with the English-speakers, discussing the weeks parsha, and telling stories of the Rebbes’ early years of leadership. Later in the afternoon, we were given a tour of Tekoa while seeing some amazing views of the Midbar Yehudah and Dead Sea. We were also able to see and hear the stories of the residents’ struggle to live and protect the land of Israel.
After Havdalah, we were all invited to the Abramsons’ house for a barbeque and kumzitz with some of the neighbours before returning to Yeshivah.
Tekoas’ community has again shown us the meaning of true Achdus and Ahavas Yisroel.
